Other Scholars of Note
The Bilaad ‘s-Sudaan has produced 13 centuries of profound Islamic scholarship. This page will provide examples of this rich Islamic African heritage (from a variety of scholars), and will cover many diverse Islamic sciences such as tawheed, fiqh, tasawwuf, etymology, grammar, history, eschatology, medicine and in some cases hagiography. We invite others to send translated texts in pdf form to be posted to give evidence of the authentic anthropology of African Islamic heritage.

Is there jama’at version of The Littany of the Sea (Hizbu’l Bahr)?
There is only one version of the Hizb al-Bahr, and that is the one composed by our master and great ancestor of Shehu Uthman Dan Fodio, the Qutb al-Aqtaab Shaykh Abu’l-Hassan as-Shadhali, may Allah be pleased with both of them. Shehu Uthman Dan Fodio has the asaneed (chains of authority) of all the Ahzaab of Shaykh Abu’l-Hassan as-Shadhali cited in his Asaaneed al-Faqeer, which can be downloaded here: https://siiasi.org/digital-archive/shaykh-uthman-ibn-fuduye/asaaneedl-faqeer/
