The Pen, The Sword, and The Arts
This is a collage of the Arabic calligraphy and architectural renderings I have done over the years. The architectural drawings are renderings of the proposed Sankore’ University quarter which we hope to construct in Africa for the purpose of reviving African Islamic traditions.
Islamic, Sino, Japanese, Indonesian and Indian cultures hold that there is a symbiotic relationship that exists between penmanship, swordsmanship, and the ability to master the self.
I have intentionally avoided commenting on the pictures in order to allow the reader to develop their own interpretations and inspirations.
